In the book Letters to The Dead by Ava Dellaira the main character Laurel has a problem with her self  that she dose not know about. She thinks everything is fine with herself but she is not the author shows us the reader that Laurel has a problem throughout the book. Shes unconsciously obsessed with her sister because her sister died she  unconsciously tries to act and be just like her sister that is the only way she feels happy. She is very depressed that the person she loved could not help her because she is to stuck on her sister that it hurted him that she was hurting herself. She would start to get flashbacks about her sister and those flashback would take her back to that time, place. It would cause her to leave the real world and it would just hurt her. This is a trauma because she tries to believe she is there she tricks her mind which is not healthy.
